Prior to the celebration of Baptism, parents should give assurance that their child will be reared in the faith.  Therefore, St. Augustine Parish offers parents an opportunity to grow in understanding the Rite of Christian Initiation.

• Parents must attend one Catechetical Session prior to the Baptism of their Child.  Godparents must be practicing Catholics.
• Baptisms are usually held on the first and third Sundays of each month.  The Catechetical Sessions are held on the Wednesday evenings before the first and third Sundays
• Parents must contact the Rectory in order to arrange for the Catechetical Session and the Celebration of Baptism
